SKYRA FUN DAY 2012
Unfortunately we have had to postpone the Fun Day for this year, due to the wet weather and the poor condition of our paddock.
We had hoped to hold it later in the year weather permitting.
Sponsored walk
The sponsored walk took place across 4.2 miles of level ground, walking across the private roads of the Carrington Estate.
Starting at 11.00 a.m. it was opened by a local blind lady who is now on her 5th guide dog and who was able to speak from first hand experience about the benefits of a guide dog and the need to fund raise for them.
With a reasonable turnout and decent weather the walk managed to raise much needed funds. The walk took just under an hour to complete and was clearly enjoyed by all.
EVENTS
Companion Dog Show
The companion dog show was well supported in the afternoon, starting at 2.00 pm. Numerous local sponsors had generously made donations which enabled all prize winners to go home with something. Rosettes down to 5th place and a 22 class show ensured a full afternoon which raised a respectable amount of money for the guide dogs.
A big "THANK YOU" to everyone participating in the day's events and for all the money raised.

Unfortunately we have been unable to hold the Fun Day for this year, due to our relocation.
Plans are afoot to hold our next Fun Day in Spring 2014 and we look forward to seeing as many people and their dogs there as possible.
